#1 From the bright days of Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Viera to the dark nights of Danny Welbeck and Mohamed Elneny
Arsenal fans were brought up on a regular diet of awesomeness in the days gone by. The team that Wenger managed to create around the turn of the millennium would often decimate their opposition.
Perfect mixture of youth and vitality added to the wisdom from experience: tight at the back, sturdy in midfield and just God-damn magical upfront. The Dutchman with his elegant touches and swivels has now been replaced by the directionless panic-running of the Englishman.
Whereas the consummate domineering performances of the French midfielder is now replaced by the shocking lack of footballing aptitude of the Egyptian midfielder.
Don't get me wrong. Both the members of the current side have in recent times come up trumps for their team when it most needed them, especially Welbeck against the Saints' and the CSKA Moscow, but still... I mean.. FFS!
