13-year-old cancer patient allowed to play and score in Villarreal's friendly match against Celtic

Here’s a heart-warming story from Spain’s La Liga club Villarreal.

13-year-old Gohan suffers from cancer and it was his dream to play for Villarreal at their stadium El Madrigal.

When the club got word of the young fan’s wishes, they made it happen! Before a friendly against Celtic, Gohan was invited to the club and he was in for a huge surprise.

Villarreal did the following things to make his day.

1. Invited him to the dressing room.
2. Meet the entire squad.
3. Given his own locker (with his image on the poster) and full kit with a a squad number.
4. Pep talk from the manager.
5. Allowed to mingle with Celtic players in the tunnel.
6. Lead the team out.
7. Kick off.
8. Score a solo goal and celebrate with his teammates.
9. Come off to fans’ applause.

Who says dreams don’t come true?
