Real Madrid had to wait until the final minute of injury time to break Juventus’ hearts as they clinched a last-gasp goal to win the tie 4-3 on aggregate.
Trailing 0-3 from the first leg, not many gave Juve a chance but the Serie A holders did what they do be; defy the odds. Like Roma last night, they scored three and looked set to take the game to extra time. However, a Toni Kroos cross in the last minute of the game found Ronaldo who leapt as high as the sky to win the ball and head it down for Vaszquez who won a penalty.
Gigi Buffon was sent off subsequently for excessive appealing and Ronaldo buried the spot kick to seal the tie.
