The final of the 26th edition of the Airlines Gold Cup was played today at the Krishnanagar Stadium in Nadia district, with Police AC lifting the trophy for the first-time with a 2-1 victory against Aryan Club.There was no big attraction in this edition of the tournament with no Mohun Bagan AC, East Bengal or Mohammedan Sporting, still the participating Kolkata clubs used the tournament as preparations for the upcoming Calcutta Premier Division.

Though the Airlines Gold Cup is a knockout tournament, there had been a group draw for the eight participating clubs with Group A having Kalighat Milan Sangha, George Telegraph SC, Aryan Club and Kalighat Club; while Group B consisted of Bhowanipore Club, Southern Samity, Peerless SC and Police AC.
