#3 Serge Aurier (Tottenham Hotspur – 5M)

This suggestion is a more short term suggestion with high upside in my opinion. While Tottenham Hotspur are somewhat out of form, they still have 3 enticing fixtures in the next 3 gameweeks. They face Southampton at home, Brighton away and Watford at home. And if Serge Aurier has nailed his place, there is tremendous upside here. A Pochettino fullback always has a high upside for points and he likes his fullbacks bombing forward and contributing to goals and assists. In his last 2 starts, Aurier has 2 assists to his name as well as a goal that was ruled off due to VAR.

If Spurs manage to keep a couple of cleansheets and if Aurier contributes with an attacking return or two, you are getting a lot of points for just 5 million. That said, Pochettino is known for rotating his full backs but if Aurier makes this spot his own, you are laughing. It’s a risky pick and not for everyone. If your squad can afford a risky pick, I say go for it. If you need a defender to play week in, week out, then the other two suggestions are better options for you.
