For starters, Ozil would not have to move to another city if he decides to go to Chelsea. More seriously though, Chelsea could also do very well with Ozil’s valuable skills and experience. Cesc Fabregas is going to leave Chelsea soon, and so might Eden Hazard in the near future.

Therefore, Chelsea might need someone like Ozil to provide the creative touch in their midfield. There are players like Pedro Rodriguez and Willian in their squad, but Pedro is ageing and Willian is also on the decline.

It would be convenient for Ozil too, as he is likely to get more playing minutes at Chelsea. He can also take heart from the fact that fellow Germans like Michael Ballack, Andre Schurrle and Robert Huth have successfully played for Chelsea in the past.
