Liverpool didn't have luck on their side last season.
A study by ESPN showed that Liverpool was the unluckiest team last season in the Premier League losing 12 points due to 'wrong' decisions. Though it would have still left them 10 points behind the runaway winners Manchester City, they would have at least closed the gap.

Liverpool was awarded just three penalties last season which was five less than the season before. A bit more favorable referring decisions and constant luck throughout the season would certainly help their cause.
Injuries are another area where the Reds didn't have the best of fortunes last season. The cruel knee injury to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was a significant blow to Jurgen Klopp's side. A bit of luck with injuries and refereeing can certainly boost their chances of a Premier League glory.

Since childhood I was encouraged to play cricket and in no time it became a hobby. Gradually I found interest in other sports also.
Football is in my blood and I love the electrifying ambiance that surrounds it. I often watch the pre and post match analysis of a match and try to learn how to analyze a football game.
The thing that intrigues me the most is that there are so many things happening behind the scenes that are oblivious to our naked eyes. The technological advancements that has been made are phenomenal.
I like analyzing a game from a statistical point of view. Being a data guy myself , I am firm believer of providing insights through facts and data. Though a game is always unpredictable , analyzing it from different dimensions can provide some very interesting conclusions.
