Man City has some tricky opponents ahead in the next few weeks. They have an away match against Burnley, who have 40 points and are at the 15th position at the moment. They also drew with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last Monday. Burnley have a solid defence, and it would not be easy for City to score against them.

Moreover, City also has another match against Leicester City who won the league in 2015-16. They have a new manager in Brendan Rogers, the former Liverpool boss.
They also have a dangerous striker in the form of Jamie Vardy who has scored 16 goals this season. Therefore, there could be a slip between the Cup and City’s lip, as those tricky fixtures might turn the tables.
Quite naturally, Pep Guardiola would take note and prepare his team accordingly for the ties against Burnley and Leicester.
