#1 Thomas Muller
And the last player on this list is Thomas Muller. Bayern Munchen forward has always been a star for Germany on the international stage. However, he has been underperforming for both country and club for some time now. His last goal for Germany was in March against Spain. After that, he hasn't scored a goal for nine games in a row.
It's a real question which is Muller's best position right now. For the country, he plays on the wing but he doesn't have the speed and pace to play in that position. Probably he should play behind the centre-forward but Joachim Low now tends to play with a 4-3-3 formation.
Thomas Muller is another proof that fresh blood is needed in Germany's squad. There are younger, arguably better, players that deserve to play. Offensive players like Leroy Sane, Leon Goretzka and Julian Draxler desperately wait for their chance in the starting lineup.
