#2 Luka Jovic
Luka Jovic has been one of the best performing strikers this season and the Serbian forward continues to show his attacking qualities on a weekly basis. In blistering form for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt throughout this campaign, he's netted 27 goals and provided six more assists in all competitions.
He could be an astute - albeit expensive - acquisition for Liverpool by all means and would fit nicely within either the 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formations. However, they would naturally need to pay over the odds for the 21-year-old, facing stiff competition from Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Barcelona to name but a few.
#1 Timo Werner
Timo Werner has been a target for Liverpool from the past couple of transfer windows. He has scored 19 goals and provided seven assists (all comps) this campaign, while continuing to showcase his attacking potential in the meantime. RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff insisted that despite interest from elsewhere, he remains an option for Liverpool in future.
"Timo Werner would rather not sign an extension - but that could change. I don't think it's completely out of the question that he could extend, we haven't talked to Bayern about him yet.
Maybe he doesn’t even want to go to Munich. Maybe he would rather join (Thomas) Tuchel in Paris, (Jurgen) Klopp at Liverpool or (Lucien) Favre at Dortmund."
His immense versatility and energetic playing style would add even more strength to the Reds' attack, though it remains to be seen where his long-term future lies - something we could see unfold in the next few months.
