#1 He must lead Chelsea to the Champions League
Eden Hazard has won almost every domestic trophy since joining Chelsea in the summer of 2012, but never has he managed to get close to the Champions League trophy. The last four winners of the Ballon d’Or have been players who won Europe’s elite competition.
To be counted among them, Hazard to needs to be the man who leads Chelsea to that elusive second Champions League trophy. He has carried the team for the past few years in the Premier League, but it’s now time to lead them in the Champions League too.
From all indications, winning the Champions League undoubtedly increases a player’s chances of winning the Ballon d’Or. If Hazard cannot win it with Chelsea, then he will be better served in moving to a ready-made Champions League contender.
That way, his chances of winning the award would be bigger than it is currently with the Blues.
