Paul Pogba has a statement to make with Manchester United after a glorious World Cup campaign

Some might agree, and some might beg to differ as to why Paul Pogba is on this list - especially considering he had an amazing World Cup winning campaign. But that is precisely where the question arises: why has Pogba been so strongly with France and not with United?

The answer to that question is not straightforward. After completing his two full seasons with his boyhood club, the French international is still struggling to keep up his form domestically. Sometimes he’s impressive and sometimes he seems too careless and clueless.

Perhaps the answer lies in the difference of the philosophy of the managers and the players surrounding him at the club and international level.

Whatever the reason may be, Pogba has often looked a shadow of his former (Juventus) self at United. He has a swagger when he’s in the French jersey but so far, he has failed to emulate that swagger in United colors.

Pogba possesses all the qualities of a first-class midfielder. With slight adjustments to his game and a little more adaptability, everything could fall into place for the young midfielder. But will it? The 2018-19 season will tell us one way or another.
