#2 Team selection
A team cannot win all the matches but getting players who have got results out there on a consistent basis is ideal. Already, some players have proven themselves to deserve playing week in week out. But Mourinho's team selections are questionable.
Phil Jones has proven time and again that he does not deserve to be in a United shirt. It has nothing to do with the penalty miss against Derby County. Any player can miss one. His performances have taken a nosedive that only selling him would be doing him a favour. He is a fringe player and proved it once again by making poor judgement that forced Sergio Romero off his line to concede the red card yesterday.
Mourinho has got it wrong by consistently selecting non-performers instead of giving chances to young players. A player like Anthony Martial has been improving with added minutes but he may be dropped in favour of the underperforming Alexis Sanchez.
