Digne has been linked with Juventus.

After a promising start to his Barcelona career, left-back Lucas Digne isn't going through his best phase at present. Digne has struggled desperately for game time under Valverde, managing only 972 minutes of action.

The talented Frenchman impressed under Luis Enrique after his move from Paris Saint-Germain, but has failed to nail down a starting spot for himself. The 24-year-old has been named on the standby list for the French World Cup squad, but in truth, has done little of note to merit selection regularly.

Barcelona have been linked with left-backs for a while now, as they hunt for a more effective back-up to first-choice starter Jordi Alba. The Blaugrana have been rumored to be interested in both Marcos Alonso of Chelsea and especially, David Alaba of Bayern Munich.

Digne himself has vowed to remain at Barca and fight for a spot in the starting XI.

"I want to stay, I signed a contract for five seasons and I intend to win many titles here. I am happy at Barcelona, and I will be even happier if we win the league. My situation doesn't worry me, what matters is the team." - Digne told beIN Sport.

Recent reports suggest the contrary, however, with Digne rumored to have been offered to Juventus. A deal would make sense from the Serie A winners' point of view, with Juve lacking depth in defence, especially on the left-hand side where there are few options beyond first-choice Alex Sandro, who himself has long been linked with a departure.

Also joining the queue are Bayern Munich, who want the Frenchman as a replacement for Juan Bernat. Bayern, it’s claimed, are ready to make a move and could offer an initial bid of around €12 million.

All signs point toward Digne departing this summer, and a move away could see him gain more playing time than he enjoys currently at the Nou Camp.
