The French winger spent almost half of his time at Barcelona recovering from injuries. Dembele was signed to replace Neymar. It is obvious that the expectations from a player of Dembele’s calibre were very high.

He spent most of the time fighting with injuries, and was labeled as injury prone by many. Though, he was a spectacular player at Dortmund and many top clubs wanted him. He was underused at Barcelona and subsequently his form has declined.

Even though he was called up for the French squad for the World Cup, he wasn’t given much time whereas Kylian Mbappe became their main man.

Now that Barcelona have signed a dynamic winger in Malcom, who plays in the same position as Dembele, it is obvious that his future at Barcelona doesn't look bright.

With Ousmane Dembele being young and still being in demand, the Spanish club would surely like to sell him and make some room for Malcom.
