#1 Andre Gomes
The 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder was expected to be one of the top midfielders in the world. Real Madrid and Barcelona both battled to sign the former Valencia man, and Barcelona won this battle having signed the player for an initial £31 million.
But what Barcelona failed at was they did not realise that Gomes woouldn't fit in their set up. He's a physical as well as technical player, who would not suit the well composed Barcelona midfielder, who likes to hold the possession of the ball.
Not living up to the expectations and high price tag, Gomes lost his confidence as well as his form, and ended up spending a lot of time on the bench. He's not called upon frequently, and faces criticism from the Barca fans.
The Catalan club must sell him to a team where he will get more playing time, and could prove himself, and restore the confidence in himself.
