#1 Andre Gomes
It's hard not to feel for Andre Gomes. The midfielder opened up about his mental health problems and how he has been struggling to shoulder the expectations that come with playing for a club as big as Barcelona.
However, if Barcelona are to get a worthy replacement for the departing Andres Iniesta and find someone who can learn from Rakitic before he fades, they need to sign a new player because Gomes doesn't look like he can do it.
Since joining from Valencia in 2016, Gomes has started 23 times for Barcelona over 2 seasons. He scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in his debut season but drew a blank on both fronts in his sophomore campaign.
Gomes could do much better for himself at a lesser club where the expectations won't break him and Barcelona can cash in and then use that money to get a good signing.
