#1 Alexis Sanchez
The Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez is regarded as one of the worst, if not worst, post-Ferguson signing. He was brought in as an elite attacker who would spark the team to life. But since his arrival in 2018, Sanchez has been dead weight in the squad.
His goal contribution and assists tally have been a joke when compared to the ridiculous wage demands that United fork out for him. He has been given plenty of time to perform, but hasn't delivered.
At 30, Sanchez is on the wrong scale of his playing age so the only reasonable option is to sell him off to the next buyer.
First, it will free up the wage bill significantly. Secondly, United can divert those funds towards financing other moves in the market. If sold, Sanchez could bring as high as 20 million even with his poor form.
It's pretty clear that Sanchez has not been a good fit. The sooner both parties can agree to part ways, the sooner the rebuilding processes can be started at Manchester United.
