#1 Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard hinted at leaving Chelsea and speculation is rife that he could become Real Madrid's next Galactico following Cristiano Ronaldo's departure to Juventus. Eden Hazard's name is never far away from newspaper gossip columns and this is not the first time he has invited speculation over his future. However, with Spanish giants Real Madrid now looking to fill a Cristiano Ronaldo-shaped hole in their squad, his latest comments resonate louder than ever.
Hazard scored an excellent breakaway goal as Belgium beat England 2-0 in the third-place play-off at St Petersburg Stadium, capping off an impressive tournament for the 27-year-old and Belgium. The Chelsea player said after the third-place playoff:
“After six wonderful years at Chelsea, it might be time to discover something different. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.”
Hazard senses his opportunity and it is hardly surprising that Madrid wants him. In six seasons at Chelsea, they have watched him establish himself as one of world football's superstars. The Belgian's individual brilliance has been the inspiration behind two Premier League titles and he also guided his country to summer glory in Russia.
