#2 Joe Gomez
After struggling from injury setbacks in the past few seasons, Gomez is finally fully fit now and has created a formidable partnership alongside Virgil van Dijk in the middle of Liverpool's defence.
The 21-year old was pinned as The Reds' 'weak link' and was often targeted by the opposition players. Nevertheless, the England international has showed composure beyond his age and coped well with strikers like Christian Benteke and Marko Arnautović so far.
Gomez has completed 291 passes in the Premier League this season with, an impressive passing accuracy of 88.3 percent. He also made 18 clearances and won 71 percent of his tackles.
The former Charlton Athletic youngster played out of position for most of his Liverpool career, but injuries to Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip gave him the chance to play at his preferred position, and he hasn't looked back.
