Liverpool had been looking for a world-class center-back for many years until Klopp signed Virgil van Dijk from Southampton in January. He was signed to make their defense better as they were leaking goals on a regular basis.

Almost a year later, Liverpool has now got a world-class defense which is hard to break for the oppositions. They have only conceded eight goals this season in the Premier League and van Dijk played a huge part in that.
