The Frenchman missed out on the World Cup despite having a decent season with The Gunners and finishing as top goal scorer for Arsenal in the 2017-18 season. That must be playing on his mind every time he steps onto the football pitch this season.

As we have seen already this season, the Frenchman's work-rate has increased significantly compared to last season. In most cases it has benefited him and the team as well.
Another example was seen in his goal against Brentford as he went for a 50-50 with an opponent, the ball dropped kindly for him, and he raced through on goal under pressure to score. If he continues with this present work-ethic, he is definitely going to be rewarded for it at the end of the season.
