#2 Most goals scored by a player
Since its inception in 1992, the Premier League has played host to a number of world-class strikers but none as prolific as record goalscorer Alan Shearer.
The Geordie legend amassed astonishing 260 goals in 441 appearances, a record that still stands very much intact.
The next best in the list, former England captain Wayne Rooney, is 52 short of the mark and after having left Premier League for MLS this summer, he won't be able to add to his tally.
Jermain Defoe and Sergio Aguero are the only active players in top 20 of Premier League's all-time goal scorers list and with both of them in their thirties, it is highly unlikely that they would ever come close of Shearer's mark.
