Perez is not interested in retaining Keylor Navas

Zidane's resignation shook the Real Madrid faithful. It was completely unexpected. Reports suggested that Zidane decided to quit Real Madrid because of his dissatisfaction with Perez over signing David Gea.

Zidane was a great admirer of Keylor Navas and wanted the Costarican keeper as the No.1 at the club. Polar opposite to this, Perez wanted to offload Navas, who had an inconsistent season and wanted to sign their long-term target David Gea, as the No.1 shot-stopper.

Navas was prone to committing flaws at crucial stages of the game. His performance against Juventus in the second leg of UEFA Champions League quarter-final was no a match to the Real Madrid standards.

As Real Madrid have already sold Cristiano Ronaldo, Perez and Co. need to ensure they come with the best next season. Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard and are even to ready swap Asensio for them.

This could well signal the end of Keylor Navas' Real Madrid career.
