#2 His recent injury concerns
In the last two years, injuries have not been kind to Neymar, as a recurring ankle problem has hampered his career and ruled him out of crunch stages of major competitions.
The first major injury of his PSG spell came when he pulled up with a Metatarsal Fracture during the first leg of the Champions League round-of-16 clash with Real Madrid in march 2018. This saw him miss the second leg of the tie, as PSG got eliminated.
There was another foot injury in spring of 2019 and this once again saw him ruled out as PSG got dumped out of the Champions League by Manchester United, while he has also suffered numerous other minor injuries since the start of the 2017/2018 season.
His latest setback came last month just a few days to the kickoff of the 2019 Copa America on home soil, with a ruptured ankle ligament ruling him out as Brazil won the continental trophy for the first time since 2007.
In total, Neymar has been ruled out for eight-and-half months and missed 50 matches in the last two years due to injury and given his recent record, it might not be in Barcelona’s best interests to sign him.
