#2 The Cristiano Ronaldo factor
Following a rather underwhelming return of 21 goals in his debut Serie A season in 2018-19, Ronaldo has picked up pace following a slow start to the 2019-20 season. The 35-year-old Portugal captain is in the midst of a club-record 10-game scoring streak and is now just one short of the longest scoring streak in Serie A possessed by the duo of Gabriel Batistuta and Fabio Quagliarella (11 apiece).
With 20 goals in as many Serie A games this season, Ronaldo trails pace setter Ciro Immobile by 5 goals as he strives to become the first player to top-score in a Premier League, Primera Liga, and Serie A season.
Having scored his long-awaited first Serie A hat-trick, Ronaldo has scored 15 goals in 10 games in all competitions since the start of the year as the Portugal captain continues to mock the perception that age has diminished his goal-scoring prowess or reflexes.
The 35-year old has scored almost half of Juventus' 44 Serie A goals this season and his continued good form till the end of the season would play a pivotal role in the Bianconeri sealing a record-extending 9th Scudetto.
