#2. Anfield factor
One of the biggest advantages of playing at the home ground is that the teams have the crowd behind them, roaring them on and filling them with confidence. On the other hand, their opponents have to deal with the crowd's open hostility or even its silent contempt, which both drain confidence.
However, the picture is way bigger when it comes to Anfield. Liverpool fans are known for being the craziest and the loudest fans of all. When they cheer on their team, you won't be able to hear cheers for any other team. In fact, even in the away games, Liverpool fans roar for their team so loud that the cheers for the home team become inaudible.
Anfield has long been acclaimed for its atmosphere on big occasions – especially grand European nights, and the visiting teams always have a difficult time in front of the Kop.
