#1 Isco and Modric run the show
Toni Kroos was given a day off by Lopetegui, but his midfield did not lack panache as Isco and Modric mesmerized.
Real had the major share of possession and Isco along with Modric were one of the main reasons why. Both of them circulated the ball well and created opportunities going forward as well.
Isco completed three dribbles, three key passes and he topped the passes completed column in the whole match. Modric, on the other hand, had two dribbles, two key passes, a pass success rate of 94% and assisted the winning goal.
Both of them displayed their silky smooth midfield mastery which was perhaps not exploited fully due to the weak Real Madrid side fielded on the day. Still, a joy to watch.
