#2 Defensive instability is gone
Liverpool have struggled with a weak and leaky defense since the last couple of seasons. Their manager Jurgen Klopp is said to a believer in the attacking brand of football, a coach who doesn't pay much attention to the defense.
But he has certainly learnt his lessons about the importance of having a strong defensive unit throughout the season. Last season, Liverpool roped in Van Dijik by paying a record fee for the defender and in this summer transfer window, they invested in a world class goalkeeper in the form of Allison.
#3 New recruits in the midfield
Liverpool have been one of the biggest spenders in the recent past, a change from their traditional stance of not spending much due to their belief that buying players for a huge sum is equivalent to buying the league itself. They have understood that recruiting top professionals is an important aspect of today's game.
For intance, their new midfield workhorse Nabi Keita is the best example of the quality of players they have recruited this seaon. His outing against West Ham was one to watch out for.
He looked seamless in moving the ball from defense to attack and was lively the whole time. The last seaon signing of Van Dijik is one more example. No matter what the results are, Liverpool will be a team to watch out for this season.
