#1 Romelu Lukaku - Gareth Bale
Gareth Bale has been fragile and failed to become the central figure at Real Madrid after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Although he has scored goals, he has been far too inconsistent and Real Madrid may look to off-load him very soon.
On the other hand, Romelu Lukaku is not making an impact as a Manchester United player and has mainly been serving the role of a target-man in the team. It might be difficult for Manchester United to let go of him but if Bale can be obtained in return, they could be tempted by the possibility.
Karim Benzema may not have a long future at Real Madrid and Lukaku could fill those boots with ease. If Real Madrid can also sign Eden Hazard, the Belgian duo could well bring back the good times to Real Madrid.
Bale is experienced in the Premier League and is a natural right-winger, a position which United has not been able to fulfil in the past few seasons. His pace would do well in the Premier League and Bale's towering presence would be an advantage.
