3) Have more mobility in midfield
United are experiencing a serious issue with their midfield personnel. Paul Pogba's nonchalance and injury worries have rendered United without a single creative midfielder in the lineup.
Nemanja Matic seems to be nearing his end at the top level, Fred has struggled to complete basic tasks and Scott McTominay, although a solid presence, does not possess the creativity to become a key player.
When Pogba is fit, Solskjaer must make every effort to make him the central player of the team. The Frenchman's talent is unparalleled in the side, and he deserves the freedom to play his game.
It would be apt if McTominay and Andreas Pereira played behind Pogba as defensive midfielders considering both of them are more mobile and proactive than Matic and Fred.
Bringing more athleticism and enthusiasm will help United both in attack and in defense, as they can move the ball quickly but also recover their positions well.
