Xherdan Shaqiri scored a brace against Manchester United
Liverpool had a menace and desire about them from the first whistle of the game. United were pegged back in the face of the relentless pressure from the home side. Which is why 1-1 at half-time seemed like an unfair scoreline for the fans; the home side had largely dominated the opening 45 minutes of the game, with nothing to show for it.

As the second half commenced, something needed to be changed to break United's rearguard. After the first quarter of the second half, Klopp introduced Shaqiri into the frame, replacing Keita to bring in a more attacking flavor into the game.
The Swiss international didn't disappoint as he gave the home side the lead with a deflected shot into the top corner.
Shaqiri scored his second immediately after with another deflected shot, this time off Eric Bailly.
It was a substitution that paid rich dividends for Klopp, and a move that the Swiss will remember for a long time.

A sports enthusiast and an avid follower of football.
Since childhood I was encouraged to play cricket and in no time it became a hobby. Gradually I found interest in other sports also.
Football is in my blood and I love the electrifying ambiance that surrounds it. I often watch the pre and post match analysis of a match and try to learn how to analyze a football game.
The thing that intrigues me the most is that there are so many things happening behind the scenes that are oblivious to our naked eyes. The technological advancements that has been made are phenomenal.
I like analyzing a game from a statistical point of view. Being a data guy myself , I am firm believer of providing insights through facts and data. Though a game is always unpredictable , analyzing it from different dimensions can provide some very interesting conclusions.
