#2 Reshuffle the team
Following their recent collapse in the World Cup, Argentina need to consider making major changes to their squad as they prepare for the future. This should not be a problem, given that Albiceleste have a lot of incredible superstars in their ranks.
At 33, Javier Mascherano is past his peak already. The former Barcelona superstar failed to reach his own standards in the World Cup, playing sluggishly as he was unable to match the pace of the game and committing a lot of unnecessary fouls.
Therefore, he should be replaced by the likes of Lucas Biglia and Eduardo Salvio who still have a lot to offer. Willy Caballero was a big disappointment in the tournament, hence, he should be dropped, allowing Sergi Romero to resume his place and Franco Armani serving as a backup.
Inter Milan striker, Mauro Icardi deserves to be recalled into the national team while Lionel Messi should be deployed as an attacking midfielder, giving room to Paulo Dybala to operate on the right flank.
Angel Di Maria, Ever Banega and Nicolas Tagliafico impressed in the World Cup, therefore, they should maintain their places in the squad while the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Christian Pavon, and Federico Fazio should be given adequate chance to prove their worths.
