The Chelsea team finished the game with a total of 14 shots and 19 dribbles, six more than Barcelona. However, they failed to convert these opportunities, as they lacked precision.

Olivier Giroud's link-up play was better in the second half since he got more involved, even though he could notch up only one shot before being substituted in the 66th minute. He did not get much service into the box as his aerial ability wasn't applied to much use.
