#2 More playing time for Dani Ceballos
MARCA reports that Lopetegui has Dani Ceballos in his plans for next season at Real Madrid. Lopetegui knows the player when they met in Spain's U-21 team and he has rejected approaches from other teams.
Last summer, Ceballos' performances led Spain to the second place at the EURO U-21 Championship. He was also named the player of the tournament.
After that tournament, Ceballos came to Real Madrid from Betis for a transfer fee of around €18 million.
However, his career at Real Madrid has been an absolute disaster thus far. This season he started only nine games in all competitions and only 4 of them were in La Liga.
Lopetegui tends to work with young players and surely he can get the most out of Dani.
Ceballos is an absolute genius at ball control. His skill set is perfectly suited for tight situations.
He isn't particularly fast but he averages around 12 km per game. Lopetegui should have a plan for him because Ceballos can become one of the most dominant midfielders of the next few years.
