Ronaldo has done brilliant work for the clubs he had played for. But also, he never failed to impress with his national side. One such instance happened prior to the World Cup 2014 when Portugal faced Sweden in a qualifying match and the winner goes to the WC.

It was the battle of titans as Cristiano Ronaldo was going to face Zlatan Imbrahimovic. The first half of the game went goalless. But soon after the half time, the game reached its spark as Ronaldo scored the first goal of the match in the 50th minute.

Ibrahimovic standing firm on the expectations pulled one back in the 68th minute and gave Sweden the lead four minutes later.

But, the game came to life as Ronaldo leveled the score in the 77th minute and flipped the game with his hat trick goal as Portugal won 3-2 and qualified for the World Cup. This was one of the best matches of his entire career.
