#2 Fabinho
Fábio Henrique Tavares, also known as Fabinho, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a right-back or as a defensive midfielder for Premier League club Liverpool and the Brazilian national team. Fabinho began his career at Fluminense, but left the club without making an appearance.
He joined Primeira Liga side Rio Ave on a six-year deal. He was loaned to Real Madrid on July 19. He made his debut for Real Madrid in 2013 and assisted a goal in their 6-2 victory over Malaga.
Fabinho joined Monaco on a season-long loan deal in 2013. After completing his one-year loan at Monaco, he rejoined the club on loan for another year before agreeing on a permanent deal to Monaco. Liverpool signed Fabinho on a long-term contract on May 28, 2018 for at a fee of €50 million with a maximum of €5m in further add-ons.
Fabinho is just 24 years, which can be very important given the physicality and toughness of competition. Fabinho is a different kind of player. He started his career as a full-back but his switch to midfield has been a triumph.
At 6ft 2in, he will be able to provide good protection for the Liverpool defence. He ranked among the top three tacklers in France and also among the top six for total passes too. There is more to Fabinho's game than that. He can also operate as a number six or number eight. He will make forward passes too. Klopp explained that he is technically strong as well as football smart when he was signed.
Such a type of all-round player can certainly boost the chances of Liverpool winning Premier League title after a long period of 28 years.
