Cristiano Ronaldo is Mbappe's hero from childhood. He was a huge fan of him as a boy. His room was covered with many photos of the Portuguese star. Back in 2016, Mbappe's father told that his son used to "spend hours watching videos of Ronaldo on the internet". This season Mbappe played against his idol in the Champions League.

In an interview for MARCA last year, Mbappe said:

"He is a hero from my childhood and it was amazing to meet him when I visited Valdebebas. I admired him when I was younger, but that ended. Now I go to the Bernabeu to play and to win. From someone who has won five Ballons d'Or you can learn a lot.“

Currently, Mbappe is the most exciting prospect in world football but back in 2013, he was just a boy dreaming about his hero Cristiano Ronaldo.
