#3 Loris Karius
The £4.7 million signing of Loris Karius from Mainz didn't quite live upto its promise. Karius was supposed to be Simon Mignolet's replacement - with Mignolet drawing heavy criticism after 2015-16 season ended. The 24-year-old Loris Karius had a pretty shaky start to the season and his command over the box was put heavily under the radar just like Simon Mignolet's used to be.
Karius' blunder in the 4-3 loss against Bournemouth was the point where Jurgen Klopp had had enough. Karius was dropped and Mignolet pounced on the opportunity with both hands.
Karius is still very young and has years ahead of him but he needs to work really hard if he is eyeing at the starting berth. The keeper has immense talent and he just needs to look at David De Gea's transition from one of the most error prone keepers to the standout keeper in Europe.
