#5 Alberto Moreno
Another player who seems to have lost his way at the club is Alberto Moreno. When Moreno was signed, the fans were jubilant as the player reminded them of ex player John Arne Riise - a Kop favourite. The goal against Spurs at White Hart lane was something spectacular - a marauding run ripping the defense apart with a fierce left foot strike.
Attacking is the extra asset you have as a left back as your primary job is to defend where Moreno has failed time and again. He was caught out of position a number of times which led to direct goals and the fans started fuming over his inclusion in the team.
Alberto Moreno stayed on bench as the makeshift James Milner played as left back for the majority of 2016-17 season. Milner did particularly well but Liverpool missed the natural crossing from a left foot.
The signing of Andy Robertson from Hull, and Moreno's performances in the pre-season, give a hint that the position is still up for grabs. If Moreno is unable to convince Jurgen Klopp this season then this might very well be his last season at Liverpool.
