Andre Gomes has been the laughing stock since his arrival at Camp Nou in 2016. The Portuguese is the perfect example of Barcelona's inability to operate wisely in the transfer windows gone by.

After two mixed years at Valencia, Andre Gomes was one of the few players who was presented with the opportunity to sign for either of the arch-rivals - Real Madrid or FC Barcelona. The now 24-year-old dropped a clanger by opting to go for the latter, the repercussions of which he is experiencing until now.

The one-time Benfica player failed to cement his position at the club since the beginning of his spell at Barcelona, being used out of position under Luis Enrique before languishing at the hands of Ernesto Valverde.
