#3 Toby Alderweireld
Another player who is into the final six months of his contract, Alderweireld has been one of the standout center-backs in the Premier League over the last few seasons and has earned widespread plaudits for his displays in the heart of the Tottenham defense alongside international partner Jan Vertonghen.
The 29-year-old was the subject of a serious bid from Manchester United in the summer as Mourinho sought out options to bolster his defense. However, the English giants balked at Daniel Levy's asking price of £70m which was seen as too much for a player in the final year on his contract.
However, six months on and Daniel Levy might have reconsidered his stand as he faces the prospect of losing the Belgian on a Bosman in the summer which would make him listen to more reasonable offers. A player of his quality will most certainly benefit Real Madrid on a longer run.
