#2 Promise

Chelsea have at times played some dazzling football.
Chelsea have at times played some dazzling football.

By Chelsea's ambitions it may not have been the perfect season, but a fairly respectable one considering the circumstances.

This season the Blues won the Europa League while also reaching the final of the League Cup. There have been moments where the Blues have probabaly played the most beautiful football in the league, but not on consistent basis.

In the Premier League it would have been highly unrealistic for Sarri to achieve 98 points in his first season and win the Premier League. But a 3rd place finish should be enough to be considered as a consolation. Though the performmance in the FA Cup could have been better.

But overall it was a good season for Chelsea. The promising football that Chelsea have played shoud not be overlooked as well. A trophy, a league cup final, re-entry into Champions League football and some promise of good football should be enough give him another chance.

It has been seen with other teams as well that when a manager is trying to implement his football, it will take time and Sarri will be no different and his football will take time to deliver.
