#1 Are there really any worthy suitors for him?
Let's have a look at the clubs who are interested in signing him.
Manchester United will definitely be the front runners if Real agree on selling Ronaldo, but do they really need him? Ronaldo can function on the left, but United already have Alexis, Martial, and Rashford in that department.
He played as a proper striker this season in a 4-4-2 setup. But here's the problem. Mourinho has usually stuck to a lone striker formation like 4-2-3-1 with and heavily emphasizes on his forwards to fall back and defend whenever United lose possession. In Romelu Lukaku, he has a striker who fulfills his needs and it is unlikely that he would go for his compatriot.
Then there are the MLS and the Chinese clubs. But they hardly stand a chance because they won't offer Champions League competition to the striker.
Some say PSG would love to have him, but that definitely won't be in the best interests of Les Parisiens. They would have to give up Neymar if they want Ronaldo, and selling a 25-year-old with the potential of winning a Ballon d Or for a 33-year-old who is inching closer to the twilight of his career doesn't make any sense, does it?
Real Madrid are still the best club suited to his interests, period.
