The Cityzens have allowed Liverpool to pull far away
Since Pep Guardiola left Bayern Munich to take on the challenge of the Premier League, Manchester City have always been rated among the favourites to claim the league title. Following their back-to-back triumphs, it looks like they might finally concede the title this term.

After watching the eight games played in the English top-flight so far, many are already predicting that the Cityzens will not be able to make it three in a row this season. That is because of their inconsistent start to the term which has allowed Liverpool to move far ahead.
Truly, it might appear too early to predict the actual winner of the league at this stage of the campaign as every contesting team still has a mathematical chance of coming out on top. But, there's no doubt City remains the side that could pose the biggest threat to Liverpool. Unfortunately, the holders are not looking ready for that challenge just at this moment.
In their eight games so far this season, Pep Guardiola's men have recorded five victories, a draw and two defeats. This leaves them with 16 points from a possible 24. On the other hand, Liverpool have 24 points to their name. Conceding eight points in the title race at this stage of the term isn't a good sign. It won't come as a surprise if the Manchester club cannot stop their arch-rivals.
