The record for the most Serie A goals in a single season is currently held by Gonzalo Higuain, who scored 36 goals in the 2015/16 season while playing for Napoli. Higuain reached the figure in 35 games, even though he failed to score in 10 of those. While these are fantastic for the league, Ronaldo will be quietly confident that he can reach them this season.

Ronaldo has scored more than 36 league goals thrice in his career, all for Real Madrid in LaLiga. In the 2010/11 season, the Portuguese scored 40 goals in LaLiga, from 34 games. He followed it up with 46 goals in 38 games in the 2011/12 season. He then reached an incredible 48 goals from 35 games in the 2014/15 season.
While he is experiencing a slow start this season - scoring 7 goals in Serie A from 11 games so far, one cannot rule the Portuguese out just yet. With the help of the plethora of talent around and an enticing challenge calling out to him, Ronaldo most definitely will break this record this season.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
