Brandt is only 22 years old, but has already played 172 games in 5 seasons for Bayer Leverkusen. He has a mature head on a young shoulder and was one of the reasons behind Leverkusen’s resurgence last season, they finished 5th in the league.

Brandt prefers to play on the left wing, but can also play as a central attacking midfielder. He has consummate ball skills and speed.
At the World Cup he was used as a substitute only and did not get more than 10 minutes of game time in each of the 3 matches Germany played. Still, he was one of the most impressive performers for Germany in an otherwise forgettable campaign.
One can hope that he would start having a regular place in the starting line-up of his national team from next season and onward. He has already won 19 caps for his country and should go on to win many more in the future.

Subhadeep lives and breathes tennis. He watches matches regularly and engages in social media platforms to stay on top of the latest happenings. As a writer, he brings the fan's perspective to his pieces, ensuring his readers enjoy an exceptional experience every time.
Growing up, he idolized Boris Becker, but he now firmly believes Novak Djokovic stands alone as the 'Greatest of all Time', especially considering the 24-time Grand Slam champion's incredible stats. One thing that still puzzles Subhadeep, however, is how Becker's Wimbledon tally might have reached five if not for Pete Sampras.

When not working for Sportskeeda, Subhadeep delves into the other "love of his life": football, and enjoys contributing his insights to different websites dedicated to the sport.
