Having already marvelled at his incredible feats with the goal in the earlier slide, here's another one - with a strike on Sunday, Ronaldo reached 40 goals for the season; the 8th successive season in which boasted such a haul, the only player to do so.

The Portuguese astro has been in a league of his own since swapping the red of Manchester for the white of Madrid. And after enduring what was his worst start to a season, has shifted gears since the turn of the year and firing at all cylinders again.

While his first season with the Spanish giants ended with a considerable 33 goals in all competitions, every next year has seen the talisman cross the 40-goal mark. This term, after amassing only 16 strikes in the first half of the campaign, the streak was supposedly on course to end. But Ronaldo being just Ronaldo, turned the tables around and silenced all the mutterings of his decline.

Forget 40, he's now in a comfortable position to touch 50 goal-mark again, something he missed last time around.
