#3 Junior Firpo
It has become quite clear by now that Junior Firpo does not feature in Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman's plans for the season. He has made just one appearance this season and that has come from the bench.
The 22-year-old left-back should leave the club because he has no future at the Camp Nou. He has fallen down the pecking order and 20-year-old right-back Sergino Dest is preferred in his position over Firpo.
He hasn't really turned in any performance to gain Ronald Koeman's trust and it doesn't look like he will be afforded any more either. In fact, Firpo is now the first name on the list of players Barcelona want to sell because they don't have much use for him as things stand.
#2 Samuel Umtiti
Barcelona are hoping to get a lot of funds freed up through the sale of defender Samuel Umtiti. However, given his injury record, it is hard to see Barcelona getting a lot of money in return for his sale.
Umtiti is extremely injury-prone and though he is just 27-years-old and he has a lot of talent, teams are usually not willing to take a chance with someone who spends so much time on the sidelines.
Olympique Lyon were keen on signing him but were deterred by Barcelona's asking price. Koeman is keen on signing Eric Garcia from Manchester City and Umtiti does not seem to have much of a future at the club.
#1 Sergio Busquets
Don't get us wrong. Busquets will play an integral role for the rest of his stint at Barcelona. He has been one of their main players so far this season but at 32-years-old, it is best that he and the club part ways.
It is hard to find a holding midfielder as technically gifted and languidly elegant as Busquets who has been of such great service to Barcelona. However, he is not getting any younger and the longer Barcelona remain in denial and delay moving on to the next chapter, the worse it is going to get for them.
Also, this might be the last chance for Barcelona to actually make some money from selling the club legend. Plus, with Frenkie De Jong already there in the squad, Barcelona can look to further reinforce their midfield with a promising young holding midfielder.
