#4. Northern Ireland vs Portugal, World Cup 2014 Qualifiers (2-4)
One of the finest performances of the perilous Ronaldo was seen against Northern Ireland in the World Cup 2014 qualifiers. Northern Ireland, 2-1 up, were in a great position with all the tempo, energy and work-rate. Things were too easy for them until the game became 10 vs 10.
After getting booed by the Ireland fans in the starting minutes, Ronaldo gained momentum and put in a world-class performance in the last 30 minutes. With 2 headers and one breath-taking freekick, he notched a hat-trick as Portugal came from behind to beat Northern Ireland 4-2 at Windsor Park.
The result took Portugal to the top of Group F, two points ahead of Russia, and Ronaldo dedicated the result to his late father.
